How dope is this. Getting an Xbox Series X now might be the cheapest way to play this game.

Fingers crossed that x-cloud kicks in for Xbox one owners and we can play there too.

It’s a blast on PC.

I said this during the initial rollout of the Xbox Series X, there is a large following of this game and you have the ability to plug flight controls directly into the Xbox.

I have the Series S and I am excited to get this game. Any recommendations on starter joysticks or other things that might be cool?

I'll wait and see how it runs. My oldish pc can run it at medium settings, which is okay, but obviously not optimal. I've been looking to upgrade my pc specifically for flight sim, but with hardware prices being what they are, I've sort of sat on my old pc and just made it work. If Flight Sim runs decently on the new xbox, then I'll go that route instead of upgrading my PC.

What I do like about the PC setup is head tracking. I won't be able to do that on Xbox. It makes things a lot more enjoyable, especially when flying some of the fighter jets through mountains. I'd like to upgrade and get hardware to run VR on, but that's not going to happen at current prices, so instead I use opentrack for head tracking.

I enjoyed it for a few days when it came out on gamepass but I guess it really isn't my type of game. Still will be huge for Xbox owners to be able to try out although I would recommend a joystick

Yeah, it's not for everyone. The good things is that it's really accessible even for those that don't want to nerd out on the sim aspect. One of my uses for down time is exploring the world with Google Earth. Now I can also do it with flight sim, which is awesome.

I also enjoy the bush trips. Sometimes it's nice to put on some music and then disconnect from reality for a while with a trip through Patagonia.

This seems like a really boring “game”

I believe it will be on game pass in late July. It will only run on next gen.

Yes

Top Gun DLC is the thing I've been waiting for in the game.

Eh, depends on you. As a military member I’ve been a ton of places, it’s enjoyable to me to go back and visit those places in this “open world” based off google maps imports making it relatively true to life.

it is a fantastic sim tho, and that is more enjoyable to some. plus it is an experience that if you have a PC to run it comes fairly cheap

It recently revealed a badass hiking viewpoint to me I would never have known existed without the game
