the most success i've seen is people using the affiliate links for walmart.
playstation direct hasn't had a drop in a while so the next one they have should be a pretty big dump. keep an eye out.

I finally was able to get one Thursday from best buy. It says it will be ready for pickup on the 29th.

It will automatically put you in your cart with a PS5 there. If you click it now from the OP, it will tell you it’s out of stock.
During the next drop, click it and refresh until your in your cart with a PS5. Make sure you have your account info already set up with a payment option and shipping info.

I got mine from the Walmart affiliate link, and it was originally supposed to come February 6th, but it came yesterday!

How exactly do the Bestbuy drops work? They ship them out to various stores, then they open up stock, and your chances of getting one depend on the stock #s of the stores nearest you?

I had that shite in my cart, says I have to pick up from Baton Rouge (I live in Lafayette), then it makes me do a verification code, then it says I have to pick it up from Shreveport, another verification code, then it says it can’t process because it’s over 250 miles away. It’s horse shite is what it is. Why can’t they just send that shite to the nearest store?

I've got two up, one says less than 50 minutes the other says more than an hour.
I'm prob out too.

So how is this working? Sonys like well we had 20 digital consoles laying around, let's put em up in the middle of the day.
Oh shite, my 50 min one jumped to more than an hour then to 35 minutes.
And they are out. But you can still buy games and accessories...

Yeah this is crap. I’ve had this thing in my cart so many times only to fail on checking out.
Was 10 minutes away today on PSD when they sold out. 20 minutes yesterday.

i feel like the only real option you have to buy online is the walmart affiliate links. those have had the most success.

I lucked out and got through on PSD today. Had my phone and laptop. Phone was showing more than an hour and then laptop showed 3 minutes. Grabbed a digital.
