Meh, I think it’s a matter of perspective. We all pay more for things based on time and place. In a vacuum, we all know paying like $10+ for a domestic beer is absurd, but we might do it at a game or concert. Paying $750 for a year old 3070fe is absurd in a vacuum. But that kid had spent a year trying to upgrade his 1060 at a price point he could afford. Used 3070fe were going for $1,200 on Ebay when I listed. He reached out to me at 7pm. When we agreed, he said he was getting in his truck right now. Even after I told him I was happy to hold it for him until the next day, he replied that as long as I was ok with it, he would rather get it in his hands tonight. He had been trying to buy a gpu that long. He was at my house at 9pm.
And he’s having a blast with it. I helped him learn how to undervolt and set his own fan curve, and still talk to him on occasion when he has questions. I guarantee he doesn’t regret his purchase one bit.
Because we don’t live in a vacuum. We live in a motherfricking GPU hellscape that we will likely still be talking about twenty years from now

Yeah, I’m still waiting. I called Chase Bank a few days before the window “closed” and they confirmed the window is only for returned/damaged goods. Unfulfilled items have no window and can be disputed anytime. Call your bank and verify.
