I'm actually not. I work for JBL's parent company and got these as a thank you from management for some project work I led. I'm determined to find a way to make use of them. I really don't want to have to buy a USB DAC. I'd much prefer to use the onboard audio.

I really wish all of the FE boxes didn't look the same. I count three 3080s in there, but you can't see about a half dozen of them
ETA: When I spoke to Mike on Friday, for the first time, he was super specific on a time frame. Told me to reach back out to him if I haven't heard anything by 5pm Tuesday (tomorrow). So, I'm mildly optimistic, but we'll see.
Hopefully I have a 3070fe for sale come next week

I ordered a non FE Card (3080 ROG Strix White) from him 2.5 weeks ago. I'm just playing the silent waiting game and monitoring this thread. I'll show up at his house if things start getting weird. I'm like 10 minutes drive from him here in Houston.

My general answer at this point is: I don’t think this is a scam. If you place an order, I believe you will end up with your card.
However…
His currently quoted timelines are nonsense. If you’re good with ordering and then being pleasantly surprised when you end up with a card for msrp in a few months, order. If you have any kind of timeline that’s going to stress you, don’t.

Just got my EVGA notification on a EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 FTW3 ULTRA GAMING, 10G-P5-3897-KL. I’m willing to sell it new in box, unopened, once it arrives. Feel free to post here or message me on discord. Preference to anyone who can meet locally in Baton Rouge.

I’m at work and on my phone, so I don’t want to give a hard price, but like I think I’ve mentioned before, I would be willing to “split scalp” with someone. Basically, take the msrp plus tax plus shipping (my total cost) as one point. Then take the current market “full scalp” price on eBay or whatever. And I would be willing to sell for whatever is right between those two numbers.

how about this:
you pay for it
have it shipped to me directly from EVGA
i reimburse you via PayPal invoice + paypal fee within a time frame that's comfortable for you (so you can update EVGA on a shipping address if i flake)
- attach the EVGA order confirmation to PayPal invoice for proof of purchase
that way, shipping is covered and you don't have to reship it to someone.

Per EVGA, my expected delivery date is around October 15th, but we'll see with all the now normal shipping delays.
Anyway, looks like market value is currently about $1,700. I'm out of pocket $1,000 with taxes and shipping, so I'm willing to part with it to someone on here for $1,350, though someone local could probably get me down to $1,300 if they can convince me they will actually game on the damned thing
If I don't get any bites here, I'll probably just list it on FB marketplace or offer it up on Discord.
