Man. What a ride.

The brutality in this game was absolutely amazing. The blood guts spray when you blow someone up is awesome. Weapons were good.

The story....man. Depressive as it was i liked it. Dont really know what the issues were with it prior to release, but I enjoyed it. GF didnt as she felt like someone needed to die at end. Imo it ended the only way it could've/should've. Everyone had reasons for doing what they did.

Excited to see what they do next installment.

Think she wants to watch the Uncharted Series next. Should be fun as I haven't played the 4th or the big DLC game yet.

They must’ve patched the tranny out of the game along with the director’s sex scene with said tranny.

I think most (including myself)were pissed that Joel was slaughtered in the beginning. It was the relationship between Joel and Ellie in the first game that really elevated it beyond just your average zombie horror game. I actually felt an emotional connection to those characters and thats rare in a videogame..at least for me anyway.

Once I got over that initial shock and got into the game the new characters did grow on me and overall I enjoyed it. The pacing was a bit uneven and I thought parts could've been trimmed but I love stealth combat and TLoU2 had some of the best.

I think I enjoyed the DLC Lost Legacy more than the full 4th game. Like TLoU2 the 4th game just dragged in spots and by the time I was about 3/4 of the way through I was just ready for it to be over despite there still being some big set piece action goin on. Lost Legacy was a tight 12 hours or so and was a lot fun through out.

I can see the Joel death being jarring. Although my counter to that would be anyone in LOU is up g or getting the axe ( Sam and Henry, Tess, etc). Joel deserved what he got but its not the world would have been saved with a vaccine anyway.

I wished the time skips weren't there. Could have started the game with Joel killing Abbys dad instead of it being on the middle. All in all fun experience.

I disagree. To tell the story and lesson about revenge and anger that they wanted to convey, I think they should’ve killed Abby. It would magnify the “was it all worth it?” question even more whenever Ellie returns to the farm and she’s lost everything. Think of how much more powerful the guitar scene would’ve been. It clarifies and focuses the message for the gamer to think about how Ellie went through everything to avenge Joel and lost her last connection to him in doing so. Instead, by sparing Abby, it muddies the waters because it causes a lot of people to think about a myriad of other issues, including how Ellie went all that way and killed all those people for absolutely nothing. It blows my mind that Naughty Dog had the courage to make so many other choices (Joel dying early and brutally, killing multiple characters, playing as Joel’s killer without complete backstory first, breaking down Ellie, etc.), but whenever it came to this final decision, they didn’t kill Abby (or even gave the player the choice to). My best guess is that, no matter what they say now about it, the main reason ND wanted to spare Abby is because they want her to be in the next game, even if it hurts the story of this one.

must have, because the game i played had no transgender character or even mentioned sex change

i agreed with the decision to not kill Abby, but thought it was weird that you fight her anyway. why rescue her from the verge of death and then beat the shite out of her before letting her go? at that point i didn't wanna fight abby but the game made me. i'm sure the reason there wasn't a choice will be that she is in the next game also. all that said, the game was an incredible ride and maybe the best game i've played in the last few years

I guess they were going for the violence only begets violence message and in the end both women figured out it was wrong. Which really seemed too simplistic. I think her killing Abby would have brought it more line thematically with the end of the first game...but it would have pissed me off. At least it left some humanity in Ellie

Just started replaying the other day. It’s definitely a fun game. I didn’t fall in love with the main characters the way I did the first game but it still wasn’t nearly as bad as some people want you to believe. Also, it’s very rewarding to beat it on a higher difficulty.

I think you missed something. Lev wasnt transgender? Wasnt that the reason he was exiled by the Seraphites.

Honestly should have left it at 1 game and let it stand a masterpiece. 2 does different things and does some of them pretty well but it fails to replicate a lot of the great stuff 1 does.

I don't feel threatened by the sexuality of fictional children, so I didn't give a shite about the presence of non-conformative chatacters. Like it or not, this will become more and more normalized.

However, the story was undoubtedly inferior to the first. Even if Abby was the coolest character in the world, I still wouldn't want to play as the person who killed my favorite character from the first game. I did enjoy getting her ripped apart by zombies though.

Thats the whole reason Lev and Yara left the Seraphites and were being persued and why they called him Lily.

I've never seen a game that encapsulates the "never needed to be made" motif quite like TLOU2.

TLOU had a perfect standalone story and a perfect ending for that story.
