FF7 remake part 3 rumor mill begins to spin

This is from a large post on reset era ill summarize below however this is just some dude posting on a forum assume all I type in this OP is a lie
Most likely:
-It is first shown to the world in about a month at summer games fest
-release in the early quarter of next year before April
-Vincent and CId will become full party members with full combat mechanics
- Subname with be return as in Final Fantasy 7 Return
These are the only four things from all of this I am almost positive will be true. The last one could also be reclaim it also fits but return fits bettter and they already gave reunion to crisis core.
Possible likelyhood
-There will be another party member that becomes semi permanents in a way cait sith was in rebirth who will have their own entire moveset as well that wasnt in the party the OG game.
I dont believe this one. However if they were to do something like this I think as of how the story has been presented to this point the only 2 real possible options are Cisne or Sonon if we do save in some way from deepground. I do not think Zach will ever join the party

This one is about combat and the big part of this i find cool and dont believe. It claims theyre develeping a new ATB system that allows you to play this as a turn based game as close to classic FF as possible while still working within the confines of the actions system combat parameters. It claims theyre doing this in a few ways but primarily with balancing the damage done and taken between the two combat types (turn based and action) to where they take roughly the same to complete for each fight in either one.
This is something I have talked about before and do think it is 100% the future for FF and how they will and should go in FF17. I just simply do not believe they will be able to pull this off having to also accommodate a combat system already built up over 2 games with no consideration it would be held to that standard in the future.
It contains more minor stuff I didnt include like that there will be a new subclass for the lower tier items like potions etc that will not require ATB bars to use but will have cooldowns that I didnt include.

I think the game will be just as long but structured in a much better way to where it doesnt feel as clunky.
There almost certainly will be far fewer side quest as well I think Rebirth had 30 if i recall. They simply have far too much more main story to tell to include all kinds of random stupid little quest. Imo the games side quest will be far fewer but much more substantial. We still have to go to so many places. Wutai, back to midgar, rocket town which the game director confirmed in an interview will be there and that we will go to space. They dont have time for mini games and shite
I also think Knights of the round and how we get it will be wrapped into the main story not side content

It’s just way too late in the game to be trying to ram the re trilogy’s combat into as fully turn based as you can get imo. It’s a system that is really well built over two games I like a lot it just doesn’t have the ability to be reshaped in such a way I would think but I don’t know shite about it lol.
Like I said though I DO think this will be the direction in the future and how 17 will work in a game built from the ground to accommodate it. I also expect business unit 3 whose been toiling in the FF7 mines for over a decade now to be the ones making 17 so it’s not totally outside the realm of possibility they could go for something like this in part 3 as sort of a trial for 17

I have never consumed a single piece of FF7 media outside of the original PS1 release.
It's unfathomable how much mileage they've managed to squeeze out of it.

The remakes are really good games imo.

I was interested till I heard they were breaking it up into multiple games and changing up the story. A full one for one remake I likely would have gotten.

They kind of are changing the story and aren’t changing the story.
It’s really fricking convoluted and it does piss me off they leave game 2 on a cliffhanger after leaving game one on cliff hanger but rebirth by and large is with minor exceptions the same journey from Kalm to the forgotten capital.
They’re reordering certain stuff like rocket town I mentioned above isn’t in rebirth but will be in part 3. Not all their changes are bad either. The stuff with wutai they’re doing is cool
Also in part 3 we will be able to pilot an airship over a FF world map for the first time in about 30 years
