Everquest is 10 Years old

I sold my account for $1200 when the first expansion came out... quit cold turkey at that point.

Then Luclin was meh, and PoP was the last "good" expansion in my opinion...although you could argue LDoN paved the way for instancing in games like WoW.


I heard they were taking a poll to start a new server up. If it would be a progression server I may just get hooked into it

I think its more dumb that if you choose that option you miss out on some of the best content in EQ. I think the content that was EQ, Kunark and Velious were the best. I still run around the old zones just to hear the sounds and bring back memories.
The old zones have triggered sounds that turn off and on as you move to different parts of the zone. The new zones have 1 mp3 file that starts playing as soon as you zone in.

I wont turn this into I want a classic server thread because I dont and no matter what people say they want, they will never be able to have the same experience they had as a EQ Noob. Heck the wife and I played EQ everyday 6+ hours a day.. that was pre kids, now we might get 2 hours a night if we are lucky.

ahhhh... those days of falling asleep while camping spawns in lguk.
