Per NYTimes EA/CLC settling class action suit with players depicted in EA games for $40 million. According to a tweet from Darren Rovell that money will result in checks being cut to at least 200,000 individuals.
So basically these fricknuts got the NCAA Football franchise shitcanned for a couple hundred bucks a piece.

Looks like it, and they were already working on the next gen version 15. I was looking forward to it on the new consoles. Would've been amazing :/

EA must have seen this coming which is why they haven't put much effort into the game the last few years.

They aren't giving up Madden without an act of god. It's a consistent profit generator for them.
