I picked this one up on the steam sale. Just finished a few weeks of State of Decay 2 and wanted some more Zombie survival.

Question...

Can I take my time moving between missions or can they fail because I didn't act soon enough.

There is far too much sweet sweet loot to collect so I get distracted then stressed out that I'm about to fail a mission.

Any solid tips?

I liked the game until a QTE near the end of it and I stopped playing. But QTE are one of my pet peeves. I had a lot of fun up to that point though. It's the true successor to Dead Island.

Just great. The games has been playing fine for 3 hours then... black monitor. Drivers are all up to date. Evidently this was an issue back when the games came out and they apparently didn't fix it.

Can’t help you with the game crashing, but if it comes back up, you can take as much time as you need between missions. I can’t recall any time restraints

Just can't play full screen. Had to tab out of it. Then moved to 2nd monitor. Then killed fullscreen. Then moved back to the main screen windowed.

What if you have a mission that takes place at sunset and you miss it?

Will it just keep rolling to sunset the next day?

There want any time constraints. It would take away from you being able to explorw

I thought night was bad in State of Decay 2. Nope.

I do not like the night.

Not looking forward to getting that sample from the weird zombie at night.

Wait till you have to go into claustrophobic tunnels at night

I'll admit to holding up in an apartment and waiting for daylight

Finished the game. The QTE was oddly out of place to finish a game and not as satisfying as it could have been.

Overall a solid game. Would have been nice to have more base building / area clearing. A combination of State of Decay and Dying Light would be nice.

Looks like Dying Light 2 might be a combination of the two with base building area improvement.

I didn't like the zombie scaling. Who cares if you have a weapon that hits for 2k if it still take 10 whacks to kill a regular zombie. What is the point of grinding out a max level if you don't feel like Superman by the time you are done.

Hell, I watched a Lets Play Dying Light and the person didn't get above level 10 and it looked like they had an easier time than I did at level 25.
