the fastest guy should get 100 and that has to be either Hester, D Jax or C Johnson.
So i don't really see that being a problem. There has to be some type of standard to rate evryone off of.

C Johnson will probably be a 99 overall and 00 speed anyway. He was after the final update at the end of the season. They gave hester 100 speed in previous versions? Don't remember that

devin hester is not close to the fastest player in the NFL. the "100" thing was a pure gimmick

Hester 4.27 - unoffically Hester ran a 4.24
in 07 when Hester was tearing it up neither Johnson nor Bay were in the league so i think his 100 speed was accurate because you have to give it to someone to base the ratings off of

hester ran a 4.35 at his pro day and i think in the 4.4s at the combine
his "4.2" is legend that grew after that one great season
hester's skill is knowing how to set up lanes and "see" the lanes before they open up. he was never regarded as 4.2 guy even at UM

And his acceleration is, or was, absolutely off the charts. Dude could stop on a dime, and be at full speed after 3 steps. Pretty amazing.
But straight line speed, he was always a bit overrated, though still fast as shite.

I definitely agree that his vision and quickness was a factor, but what I'm saying is at the time they produced the stat he was the man... As far as a link I just googled devin Hester 40 time
