Destiny: The Collection
Destiny 2: The Collection
Been playing Destiny 2 on PC with a buddy of mine for the first time ever. Bought The Collection a few weeks ago when Steam had it for $25.
I’ve never played a game that has so much shite in it, it’s insane. I’m having a blast just vegging out and blasting aliens and robots though. It reminds me a lot like Borderlands. Just a different “fiction” to the game.
The PvP game modes are pretty fun and quick.
Is the original Destiny worth getting? I’d think so for $1.99.

One of the most underappreciated franchises out there and one of the best gaming experiences with friends.
2 bucks is definitely worth it for the story and world but I don't know how it'll play since the game has so much live service to it with events and whatnot.
Bungie's ended its run and chose not to do Destiny 3 because of Marathon and it supposedly would cost $500 million. Huge mistake.

They are, in a word, rough right now

There is a ton of great content right now for just kill farming fun. I've been doing a ton of build crafting lately just to test out in onslaught and dungeons and stuff, has been very enjoyable.

Vesper's Host took me and a buddy over 3 hours to complete.
the reward was not worth it.

How blind did y'all go through it or did you look up guides for it? It is a tough one but I love it. I just finally got Icebreaker to drop after god knows how many runs. Usually it doesn't take that long. Did you 2-man it? What part seemed to give you the most trouble?

i don't think we looked up anything until we got to the "robot eyeballs" where you had to find the ones that looked "brighter" than the others. then the final boss fight with the nukes and then going topside and then repeating that process.
we got good at doing the nukes on the bottom, but i was struggling with the top side and finding a decent place to perch to deal damage to the boss and not get electrocuted from the lightening. i was hopping all over the place. i had to go into the Destiny 2 LFG Discord to find someone to help us.

Haha yea it is definitely a very technical dungeon. When it first came out it was brutal. The eyeballs was where we got stuck on day 1 as well without looking anything up. It is definitel a really tough one to try and 2-man for sure, especially the final encounter. It is one of my more favorite recent encounters they've done because it is such great organized chaos and when you get the rythm down, is unbelievably satisfying running in sync flying through it.
When you go up top, there are tow elevated platforms running paralelle to each other. Most people post up on the right one, drop a well or bolt charge barricade, and do damage from there. I saw an absolute melt the other day of two guys running mobius quiver hunter and the Hiearchy of Needs bow. It was insane.
