There is no such thing as a ‘noobish’ strategy for Dark Souls imo.

I went to darkroot for the grass crest shield. But I'm in the same boat...depths or use master key to blighttown. Decisions, decisions...I do need the large ember though.

Especially your first time or two through, there is nothing too noobish. Do what you got to do.

My first run was with a spear blocking everything under the sun. Now I rarely use my shield. You will get better but it takes time and practice.

One different topic, are PvP backstabs in this game crazy or am I just not remembering how DS1 was? The amount of times I have been backstabbed for multiple yards away or even from around a corner is crazy.

I generally don’t have any lag in multiplayer games, but these backstabs have felt crazy.

ive played through multiple times on xbox 360 but yes, nothing is really noobish, im just laughing at myself because I feel I should be better than I apparently am

and yes, backstabs are fricked up in multiplayer. lot of complaints about it on r/darksouls . you aren't the only one

Hmmm...I just finished Far Cry 5 and while I'm waiting for the Dlc wonder if I should run through this game again. Y'all seem to be enjoying it.

Been that way since the original release. They didn't change the engine so no surprise it's still there.

Btw I’m loving the 60 FPS sooooooooo much more. A lot of people were dissing on the graphics, which yeah the textures are low res, but I prefer the higher frame rate in return tbh

yeah, its sweet.

picked up wolf ring, havel's ring, and grass crest shield. time to enter the depths.

still using CLaymore. aside from ascending a different weapon (probably bastard sword) to Divine for the catacombs I probably won't use any other weapons this run. just feels too good

stacked armor and poise. blocked when I zoned in. ran to the stairs. dealt with the dogs, then kept making loops up the staircase to falling lunge attack him

I meant one try, not one single ability

apparently there are glass cannon One Hit Boss Knockout builds using certain rings, power within, and some sorcery spells.

sounds fun

Yeah I know about the one shot builds. And knew you weren't running one so I was curious how you did it. But you didn't sooo...

Always nice to beat him without a lot of bullshite. Not a fan of that fight.
