If you can get it to drop...I didn't spend enough time in New Londo.

Sprint to drain. Sprint to Kings. Die. Repeat sprint to Kings.

Is it OK to run through different parts of the game?

You are not expected to battle all the beings between one place and the next?

Did you RTSR? I'm thinking I might as well.

EDIT: never mind. Just re-read your post.

You should. Most bosses will one-shot you. It helps lessen the margin for error. Same with maxing pyro and magic boosting gear.

Play it how you want. I did it the way I felt was right for me.

I just can't get behind the reinforced club's awful moveset. I'm going to roll with a fire battle axe, lightning hand axe, and small crossbow. I should be able to suicide run all my main gear before I even take down the Taurus Demon. Getting to Vamos shouldn't be too bad. I have memorized the Catacombs area after watching and mimicking happy hob's no hit run attempts.

I will RTSR most boss fights.

Im thinking I can do this without casting, with Power Within being the lone exception. Later I may change my mind to use Great Combustion depending on how angry I get in my O&S attempts. I am really dreading that fight.

Havel armor + DWGR means I'm not afraid of 4Kings.

I am looking forward to the Artorias fight. One of my favorite boss fights in all games ever.

I'm very afraid of Kalameet, and Manus.

No pendant for Manus. No summons.

My new run will begin tonight.

Here's the plan:

1) Escape Asylum
2) Suicide run to get dragon crest shield
3) Suicide run to get RTSR
4) Grab grass crest shield
5) Grab wolf ring
5) Buy Battle Axe from Andre
6) Upgrade Hand Axe, and Battle Axe to +5
7) Return to Undead Asylum, grab stuffy doll, crest shield, and rusted ring.
8) Shortcut to blighttown. Grab chloranthy ring. Farm enough green shards to Fire ascend +5.
9) Head back up the water wheel. Try not to die.
10) Speedrun Catacombs, say hello to Vamos, ascend and upgrade Fire Battle Axe to +5. Maybe take out Pinwheel early to get Rite + a mask?
11) Run activated.

Damn. Is that from a guide online or from your own trial and error?

What, that 11-point plan? If so, I'm just planning mentally what my best route would be to become as OP as possible before even killing the first boss.

EDIT: and trial and error as well. No DS run I have ever done has been without suicide runs! Except my very first playthrough of course.

I did not take out Pinwheel after getting +5 Fire. But I did suicide for Power Within. Had to suicide for it because I forgot to stock up on crossbow bolts beforehand. Oh well.

So I learned that if you so much as enter Undead Parish, and then go to Blighttown, and then come back up - even if you don't kill Quelaag - Anastacia will be dead when you come back up. That is news to me. I'll just have to wait till I actually kill Quelaag before getting my third Estus upgrade.

RUN ACTIVATED

EDIT: Taking a break now. Time to play some Tyranny. I'll return to Lordran tomorrow.

Productive morning. Taurus, Gargoyles, Butterfly, Sif, Capra, Vagina, Queelag, and Ceaseless all down. The real Dark Souls starts here.
