connecting ps3 to TV and surround system

I'm moving my ps3 to a new TV and want to hook it up my sony surround sound system. I'll run a HDMI cable from the ps3 to the tv but what do I run from the PS3 to the surround system?

If you dont have HDMI in and out on your Sony Surround sound, you might be able to setup it up like this
PS3 HDMI out to TV HDMI IN
TV Audio Out to Sony Surround IN via optical
PS3 HDMI out to TV HDMI IN
TV Audio Out to Sony Surround IN via optical

i'm pretty sure there's only 1 hdmi output on a ps3. I have it set up the way as stated above... PS3 HDMI to TV, TV components(or hdmi) to surround.

yeah that's the issue and I rather HDMI for the video so i guess i just go from tv to surround sound using a optical cable?

Yes. The optical will be just find sending the sound to the Surround sound system.
