COD:MW2 profile got hacked (updated)

To start off. I have a PS3.
I was on my lunch break and my best friend (lives outta town) and I were just playing COD:MW2. We got into a hacked "Team Deathmatch" game. We backed out and went into a "Domination" game. Found out we were hacked when I went to set up a sentry gun and it started a tactical nuke. It reset our classes to some hacked ones, and cleared our titles, and emblems. Clan tag was reset to "count" and on the bottom of screen in lobby "You got fricking owned" was scrolling across in red letters. I emailed activision explaining what happened and asked if there was a way to reset or get rid of the hack so we have our normal profiles back. I just prestiged for the first time and my buddy was about to prestige for the 8th or 9th time. Obviously it wouldn't mess me up as much if I had to lose all my stuff and start new but he was pretty pissed about that being a possibility. I haven't heard back from the activision support yet but wondering if any of you gurus know what can be done. Thanks

do you happen to have your PS3 setup outside the DMZ?
Either way, the PS3 just officially got hacked not too long ago.

Nothing can be done. It's what MW2 has become since the PS3 was jailbroken.

When I got it I basically hooked it up and let it find my wireless router and was ready to go so I guess I don't have it in a DMZ.
I'm back at work now but turned the PS3 off before leaving.

Yeah looks like some turd burgler with a jailbroken PS3 just hacked you.
This is probabaly happening a lot now so I wouldnt expect a quick response from Activision.

I'm pretty pissed about it right now but I hope that there's some fix to it. The past couple days it seems like there's been a lot of hacked games going on. I played a lot this weekend with a buddy of mine and had no problems. I popped in MLB 10 The Show for a while and then saw my buddy online earlier so I put in MW2 to play a game or two before coming back to work and I'll be damned.

should i wait for problems to be fixed so that they could possibly resolve it, or just reset and start from scratch?
if starting from scratch, how would i go about resetting?

That's what they recommended. I just called my buddy and told him and damn was he pissed. He was about to prestige for the 9th time and now he's back to scratch.
