I couldn't remember the last time I lost HBM H, so I tried I just now. TG and SM wtf?
Wave 1 took out all my heroes except Molt, who had the tiniest sliver of life left. Wave 2 finished off everything else.
I guess that's why I see so many bases with all their 'extra' buildings split in the 4 corners. That way TG and SM don't have time to charge their energy before heading inside your walls.

Yep, with the four corners approach the heroes only attack a few buildings and can't get a special ready. Also, you don't get that one shitty archer left that's just out of reach from your towers, but will never destroy the building its attacking before time runs out.

We do static groups. If someone joins who's not one of the four in our group, they just get kicked.

Do any of you use death strike on any heroes? I gave a 4/5 waiting but dont know much about it.

I think I have deadly strike 4/5 as an original talent on a werewolf or something. It's not the best talent for a tank, but it could be helpful on a hero that does high damage since a 10% chance to do 6X damage works out to a 60% damage boost in the long run. Maybe put it on a Ninja that you can use strictly for arena and torch battles.

Thanks. I put it on TG but I'll change it eventually. Since I dont use him for arena, I figure its better than revite 3.

2 quick questions: What is the definitive arena team used by top players? (Without aries)
Second question, what is the best use of merits? I have been spending it on the 200 shards for 900 merits, but I figured I would see if anyone else had an opinion.

The real key for Arena is just having 5/5 Revit on all heroes so that they proc immediately, especially Mino.

TG (for stun)

The video is from July so I'm not sure how the team might change due to new heroes, but I'd say that team is pretty unstoppable.

I'd say yes in general, but it depends on his skill level and talent if you have other heroes who could be ahead of him.
His skill is awesome in Arena because its a damage buffer and instant energy boost, both huge Arena benefits.

Doesn't the druid's proc buff damage too though?

Winning in Arena is all about procc'ing as fast as you can and as often as you can (if you last long enough to proc twice).
Druid is good for head to head as your team might get off another set of attacks, but Cupid is better because it allows for more damage to be dealt immediately.
