I hate when developers do shite like this.
it could be worse though, most of this content won't change gameplay in the slightest: a gun with a slightly different firing mechanic, new costumes for characters, etc.

Yes. It's just some weapon DLC that is pointless. A bonus if you are that dedicated to the series to buy the peripherals.

Should I get the shadow broker dlc for mass effect 2?

The one thing that worries me is that I didn't play about 2/3 of Mass Effect 2's DLC.
I ended up trading it in at some point (sacrilege, I know) and I didn't get an opportunity to play it. I'm sure I won't have any fricking clue what's going on when story elements from the DLC get introduced.

That is what's bothering me, too.
I think I'm gonna pull the trigger on the dlc, help refresh me for me3
Lol at that one thread getting whacked...

Lair of the Shadow Broker is probably the best DLC they made. Good writing, good set-pieces, a twist, etc. It has some gameplay value with background info on the universe if you are interested in that, but apparently the Arrival/LotSB DLC is canon and occurs whether or not you actually played the DLC.

Thanks. Sounds like I'll pull the trigger on purchasing and playing. Gotta knock off my rust.
I wonder if me3 would let you carry over whatever weapon you acquired from the collector ship in me2. Thatd be badass. But surely new weapons are to be found in the vast reaches of space

I liked arrival and really liked how it ties ME2 into ME3. LotSB was pretty awesome as well, well worth the money spent.
*minor spoiler just in case*
And you get to meet another spectre in shadow broker which is pretty sweet, since you never really see or hear of any others during the game

Well Jeff, you are in for a surprise. I've been under the impression that ALL the armor you acquired in ME2 will be on the ship when you find your way there. There are new weapons, but the armor and weapons you already had will be there for you.

I liked the Overlord DLC too, but it kind of freaked me out.

Even the DLC armor like Terminus and Blood Dragon make a return - provided you had them in ME2

that's pretty kick arse.
I had a ton of DLC armor. Thanks again, dr. pepper promotion!

M-76 Revenant <-- this is the only weapon I will use. Thing spits hot fire and cannot be stopped.

I never seen the benefit of getting a DLC that didn't provide extra content to the game but to each their own.

Bought ME2 from Gohastings for 9 bucks awhile back, how much does the good DLC cost?
Posted on 2/28/12 at 3:51 pm to The Future
probably 800 MS Points, if i had to guess. dont remember exactly... dont think its 1200 though. 800 sounds right.
