Wanting to buy a computer for kid that will mainly play WoW and games in that genre. I've seen quite a few on Craigslist that seem pretty decent for the price.
Would you consider buying one for 800 or less?
If I find a decent deal, can I run it past some of you guys to get honest opinions? I live in BR so I would really appreciate the help!
No pics of GF, PIIHB, WWTOTD, etc

If you are going to spend $800 just build or buy a brand new one

Agree. Put half that into the GPU which you will upgrade at a minimum frequency of every other archeture.
$1K can get you a damn nice rig.

Not that great of a deal to be honest.

Yeah if your budget is ~$800, i would just build a new one, you can build a nice rig for that price range.
That being said if your looking for a deal on a used rig, i have one that I'm looking to sell, and i can work out a price for you at a MUCH lower cost

Processor is a little weak but with that gpu plus the ssd for windows, it is a nice deal for sure.

paying for windows is like paying full price for a new car.

I didn't say anything about buying windows, I said you get the ssd which is nice to boot windows instead of a slow HDD.

Considering I built it 6 months ago for $1400. $700 ain't bad.
The rig runs CSGO at 300+ FPS

Without the monitor I'd sell it for $550

Building a PC is relatively simple. Reddit.com/r/buildapc has some great resources on the right side.

The only reason I am looking at used is to get it for him for Christmas. I think most "out the box" computers from Best Buy, etc have crappy video cards. I used to be up to date with computers years ago but I have zero knowledge compared to most of you guys here.

Esp when you can get Pro codes for $20 bucks. Makes it a little easier. Just pay the $20 bucks and be done with it. I started stealing because of multiple PCs. When getting into spare rigs and HTPCs, it adds up @ $100 a pop but $20 is a whole lot easier to swallow.
Edt: W10 Pro - $28 from Kinquin

Buy the walmart one thats linked. has a 1060GPU, 128G ssd and 1TB HDD harddrive, 8G RAM discounted $200 right now. I'd buy it instead of just upgrading my GPU on my old rig if i had the money.

Aren't these the grey market keys that MS will question you about if you ever try to call for activation issues?
