okay, i went and picked it up during lunch. anything i should know before getting into it? should i do the campaign first, to get used to the gameplay? or just jump on xbox live and get raped?
weapons, tips, or strategies will be greatly appreciated....

it all depends on if you've played FPS games before and if so what gametypes you like and stuff. Go with what your comfortable with. Suffer with the default classes until you unlock the FAMAS, then create a class with it and whatever perks you like. I use silencers on all my guns but thats up to you.
If you're up for S&D you can roll with me and a few others. we gotta fill some spots since a bunch of boys ran over to hump crysis 2's leg for awhile

There's great things about BLOPS and crap things about it. Just make your own opinion, really, cuz it's hard to say, especially since we don't know what type of games you go for. At least I don't. It's more of an arcade type shooter when compared to BF or HF.

I'm pickin up my new truck around 6 or so. I don't think I'll be goin out drinkin tonight so I'll probably be on around 8 or 9 i reckon. 10 at the latest. Prestiged last night so I gotta get my rank back up to atleast get the galil.

the only other FPS i have played is BBC2. so i thought i would see what the fuss was about with black ops for a while....

Trust me. As a die hard BC2 fan. Black ops is nothing special compared to that game. Crysis 2 is something special.

don't listen to blitz... he used to be decent at black ops but the day whodat became better at s&d then he was he quit. he's into crysis now so dont let his brainwashing fool you. black ops is a lot of fun if you play with halfway decent people and you get to know em. playin with randoms can kind of suck.
since you're used to BBC2 i suggest rolling in ground war for awhile, its the closest thing to bbbc2 black ops has to offer. play in there for a bit then work to TDM, Dom, HQ whatever you like. S&D is the exact opposite so dont start out playing that lol.
