I would go to local game stores first if you have any in your area. If not, I would go with eBay next

Got a refurbished on eBay and there’s tons of them on there.

Gameware if you’re around BR

Lukie Games online - you pay a little more but it’s absolutely going to work.

Facebook Marketplace also usually has some. You might can get a decent deal with someone getting rid of their system with games/controllers. I have found a ton of games that way, usually you can get them for cheaper than any Gamestore/Ebay.

Don’t go cheap; Lukie has systems right now and it’s the closest thing you’ll get to unwrapping one in 1987

Get a SNES at the same time. If you don't have one already..

Cause its inevitable..You get the NES, after a month you're going to be remembering the SNES too.

Just knock it all out at the same time.

Can confirm....I did this at the beginning of Covid. But rather than buy an NES, I owned one from way back when (Still works perfectly I might add). I took it out played a few games and then I HAD to play the SNES. I dug deep and couldn't find it anywhere in my house (found out later that a sibling had it).

So the next logical step was to buy one. Found one on FB marketplace..bought it, took it home cleaned it up and it's also working great. I have just had a tough time finding games for it.

Ive been enjoying the NES and SNES games that you get access to with the Switch. You can also order the old school controllers if you want the full affect. But the on half of the standard switch controller does a good job as well.

You MUST use original controllers.

But I find using a PC with adaptors is awesome - NES/SNES/N64/GC/PSX/PS2/SG/SDC all in one with authentic controls.

I say this in every one of these threads (once you get your system): Everdrive

Look it up.
