From 12/27/17 to 1/2/18 Battlefront II can be had for $34.79. Also the Battlefront II Elite Trooper Edition is available for $46.39.

The only real difference appears to be that the Elite Edition comes with TLJ Heroes and class upgrades.

Is the extra $12 worth it to get the Elite Edition?

Is the game itself worth 35-45 dollars?

Care to elaborate?

I'm aware of the backlash they (EA) have had with the loots crates and pay to win stuff, but I've also heard that the offline game modes and campaign are worth playing.

Add in free DLC and I could see it being worth the $35. I think?

The campaign really isn't that good. It gets repetitive fast and is written horribly

The campaign is lackluster and predictable. The TLJ tie-in is very minor and barely tied to the movie. The DLC is free whether you buy the game at $60, $35 or $20. Personally, I’d wait until the game is $15-$20. If you are a big fan of this type of multiplayer, then maybe it’s worth $35.

I redboxed for the campaign and agree with this. I didn’t finish it.

I have about 80 hours into the game myself.

If you like star wars and multiplayer shooters, you'll like this.

Campaign is shite however but the multiplayer part is fantastic once you get over the turd sandwich progression.

I have rare upgrades and some epics on every class, hero or star fighter I use.

The game is fantastic IMO.

The MP has been fantastic. BF1 MP got stale for me. This one hasn't yet. Plays much better. So, if you're a big MP fan, then I'd say it is worth it.

The campaign was okay, visually cool and for a star wars fan, was worth playing, but if what you are looking for is a single player star wars game, go ahead and pass on this one.

I want to upgrade Palpatine, but I'm at card level 19 and need 20 to be able to upgrade any of his three cards I use. However, I can't get to level 20 without upgrading one of the cards (or being lucky enough a rare one drops from a box).

This is part of the bullshite progression of the game. Part of the deal.

I had to do the same with multiple classes, but it is more common with heroes and star fighters.

Yep. Only thing I truly dislike about the game. I don't mind the star card function as it can lead to some unique combinations to play against, but the upgrading part is just dumb.
