BFV was a pretty game, but it just wasn't fun. I didn't like it. Battlefield has a long way to go to catch up with the fun that CoD MW provides.

CoD is a mindless twitch shooter and has been the exact same game since the first Modern Warfare.

I love BF1. Love it. But V did not reach out and grab me with the promo materials they put out for it, so I never bought it. I finally checked it out when they had free play days a few weeks ago and felt like my decision was vindicated. Despite being an older game, I thought BF1 looked and played better than V.
