Anyone play the beta back in August? It was okay… definitely a L4D clone and not as good IMO. But it definitely scratches that itch. I have been playing WWZ: Aftermath which is also solid fun to just kill time murdering hordes of undead. This game introduces a card system with different perks and styles to play. I may pick it up just because….

I played the beta with friends and it gets stale very quickly. I might grab it later on when it drops in cost. But for now its New World.

I know it was a beta but I started WWZ last week and I'm having way more fun with it and the progression system than I did with B4B beta.

Yeah I get what you mean. WWZ is a decent game, probably a 7/10 at best but something about it captivates me. Probably the multitude of classes, real geographic locations (and varied), and the gore system is miles ahead of B4B (limbs coming off, etc).
I also only paid $37 for the Deluxe edition on Green Man Gaming. Could get B4B standard for $49 right now, but still feel that price point is too high for a game that is releasing soon with planned DLC (bundled w it’s Deluxe edition). Screw that.
It’s also the Evolve devs… that alone is a massive turnoff to adopt this game day 1. People will eat it up though because what B4B has that WWZ doesn’t is EXTENSIVE marketing.
I also tried Aliens Fireteam Elite but no cross play whatsoever and the game has less than 1,000 people on Steam most times... only 3 man squads, and when I played no matchmaking IIRC... maybe that game will get better. If they add cross play, voice chat, matchmaking, etc... might pick it up down the road again.

Anyone picking up B4B today? It's $49 on Green Man Gaming for a Steam key (standard edition).

I bought it.. anyone else? Wouldn't mind having a crew. Apparently the game jumps immensely in difficulty from 'Recruit' to 'Veteran.'
