Been playing it off and on for a few years (MR21). Hopped back on recently to check out the new primes I've missed out on. Mainly just do random things nowadays like kuva runs, eidolon, riven sales.

The grind was addicting but I've lost interest in that part of the game. Probably going to just stay MR21 unless something requires me to raise it.

Is this the same f2p game that launched around 2013? I remember that game being sort of fun.

If so, crazy it is still going, did they make big changes since launch?

It is. From what I've read, DE overhauled a lot of stuff to make it the game it is today.

I'm only MR3. I kinda play on and off when nothing else is holding my attention. It's not bad. But they do a terrible job of laying out what to do and how to get to end game.

yeah half of the warframe experience is pretty much reading about warframe. What I did is find a frame I liked, weapons I liked, then looked up the best mod layouts for those and how to get those mods.

I still play from time to time. It does so much stuff so well, especially customization and movement. Great game to just chill out to.

I agree. You can just burn through missions in seconds with the right build

I'm trying to make my way through the star chart. I started with Volt. No other frames yet.

And so many of those guys have been playing so long, it’s pretty easy to get carried through almost any content with just normal matchmaking. I really like Limbo because if you slide, you enter a rift and are completely immune to all damage and you get a free high rate energy recharge. Just a lot of cool abilities all around.

Think Mesa is the most OP and maybe Chroma as well. I don’t know what’s on the prime rotation right now but I would think about springing the cash for one you like if you plan on playing for awhile. The one time plat you get for it goes a long way to skipping a whole lot of grinding.

ETA: forgot to mention one of my favorite frames in the game can be acquired through just normal story missions. Don’t want to spoil anything but think you gotta be MR 5 or 6 to unlock the quest.

I played for a while, used the out of game market selling stuff to acquire all the frames and still have 1100 or 11,000 more plat but got burned out.

Never made it past MR7 as I don't like platforming and that's entirely what a lot of the MR tests are. Super Mario/Donkey Kong platforming type stuff makes me wanna puke but the looting shooting is fun.

My fav frames were sneaky sniper types.

I haven't even looked into other frames yet. I don't plan on using real money to buy any. Just going to unlock them as I play.

I don't plan on being remotely serious with Warframe. Just something to play when I don't feel like playing anything else.

It's really easy to get prime frames/weapons from the player market. If you ever need plat just sell some of the mods/parts you get from just playing the game.

I've never spent a dime on the game and have gone through 1000s of plat just from sales

Bumpdate just because...

About halfway through the star chart. Unlocked and potatoed Hek...holy smokes.

Have Volt and Rhino maxed but will end up shelving them. Mesa Prime ready to go and Broberon in progress.

Unlocked Gara, Chroma, Limbo. Have parts for Excalibur. Just building everything I can and letting it sit in the foundry until I'm ready for it. Have been selling prime parts as well, so I'll use the plat for additional frame slots.

This is exactly the grindy game I need for now.

Either the grind consumes you or it doesn't. No in between.

Good choice on using plat for wf slots because you're going to end up buying quite a few of those as you progress.

Oh man this brings back memories
Great starter gun that can easily get you through majority of the star chart. I'd also recommend getting a Rubico for those times you might need a bit of range.

Enjoy the ride, man.

eta: Rhino is king. His Iron Skin + Roar dmg boost ability definitely carried me through the entire star chart.

I need to come up with a schedule

I get sidetracked too easily. Maybe set a time frame for corrupted mod farming, Eidolon, Fortuna, Deimos, relic farming, and star chart. I dunno what I need to prioritize...hell, the last two nights, I haven't really done much other than trading.

Is this a game you can get into and have fun as a new player only putting in 5 hours a week or so?

You can try. But unless you do a lot of research on your own, it's going to be tough to really progress. You have to make sure you target certain components/mods to strengthen your build.

The matchmaking allows for other to join your session, so you could always have help.

Clem!

Don't forget to do the weekly(?) Clem mission and then the daily vaults for the chance at the rare drops.

So yes schedule for yourself. 1 day trading exclusively, 1 day doing this, another that, early do a new frame leveling, late farm with your main frame. Outdoor areas vs planets.

One of the best grind spots with Gara becomes too ez to the point that others will tell you to go away. Throw up max range and durability glass wall while teammates stationed at the compass points just pick off the stuck mobs at leisure.

I'll put something together. That makes sense. I'm getting the flow down as I work through midgame.

And I absolutely want Gara as my next frame. I'll probably spend a few nights on the Plains getting mats to craft.

TIL...do not abort mission on the Plains if you want to keep your stuff found during free roam...exit through the gate. Lost two Cetus Wisps.

Have watched a few gameplay clips of this. How much adderall do you recommend taking before each session?
