I’m really enjoying to so far even though I only have like two missions done.
Even with that little bit done, I can say it’s true that it is pretty fricking hard, at least for me. I’ve died way more often than I’ll admit on here.
Overwatch is a much much more involved system here. Overwatch is dedicated to a co e of vision and you have to use it to counteract multiple melee enemies charging you. Also, the enemy ranged troops use overwatch a ton too so large chain reactions get possible at the end of the turn when half the units on the map activate multiple overwatch shots.
Also, the number of overwatch shots is tied to directly how many action points you’ve used prior to activating it. So if you activate with 3 action points left, your character gets 3 overwatch shots.
The chance of your units hitting their target feels remarkably high compared to something like xcom where it feels like you end up missing a huge amount of your shots. Here, there’s a lot more enemies so you will usually seem to be pretty outnumbered.
Also, your units performing melee combat does seem to be tied pretty key into gameplay.
Lots of cool little systems. As someone who loves and is actively playing Xcom was Igor now, this is a nice breath of fresh air

No one has tried Gears Tactics? This board is slipping further than I thought

Maybe no one cares about gears tactics? Last of Us thread has like 12 pages and isn't even out...

Obviously. But that’s so odd.

I've played it a little bit. Overwatch is god.

It is, but like sometimes, you can get in trouble with using it. It’s gotten easier as I played more, but last night, I had like 16 wretches charging my position. If I used overwatch, I’d have lost a guy because overwatch takes in terrain much more specifically.
Sometimes I really do t know what to do when I have a situation where the enemy over watches and the only available situation is to do a disrupt when a character under crossfire

I've noticed that as well. You pretty much have to take damage as any action taken results in a reaction shot. I wish it was like (bet they've heard this before) XCOM2 where damage negates the overwatch command.

Yes I am loving it and using as many skills and overwatches as possible and not having many problems although the Brumak was a little bit of a bitch.

I played this game a little. Pretty good stuff. I had just finished Wasteland 3 when I started it though (similar style of game), so I put this to the side for a bit to play AC Odyssey. It was really fun. I'll have to finish it up later.

I like it but it is a little repetitive after awhile
