I loved it but I do wish they had made more 2D games in the N64/PS1 era. Look at a masterpiece like Symphony of the Night.

You are definitely in a small minority. Super Mario 64, Mario Cart 64, Diddy Kong Racing, Star Fox 64, and Goldeneye were all my go-to games as a pre-teen in the late-90s.
