I haven’t enjoyed COD in what feels like a literal decade but my friends and students (college age) who play it all share a similar sentiment down to every single exact one regarding this years release. Lots of hype, game was received well on release with its campaign and new features, but over time certain things going on in the game specifically two I hear the most are hackers/cheaters and AI art being sold for money has crushed its prospects.

Sucks to suck but this is a good thing imo. COD has become far far far far too lazy and content with itself. They need to be burnt to the ground and rise again like a Phoenix, metaphorically

They definitely need to put almost the old games on there.

i have a sneaking suspension that Activision has "persuaded" Microsoft that if they put the old games on Game Pass, their current game will take a hit in player numbers. and that means fewer microtransactions will be sold which means it won't make as much money.

the fact that some, if not most of these games, are still full price is asinine and that Microsoft is completely disconnected from the community. they're enabling Activision to act like they've always done.

i find it funny to think they bought ABK to boost Game Pass numbers, but the main IP that's part of ABK with the largest catalog isn't on Game Pass.

As a huge Xbox guy I have a question for you regarding CODs backlog. Do you believe Xbox as it’s currently constructed has the balls to put the fully uncensored original no Russian mission from black ops two on their service? I don’t. Sony wouldn’t either

I can't think of any examples specifically like this, but they haven't halted any games being put on Game Pass yet. Honest answer is I don't know. There was a disclaimer in front of Indiana Jones, so it would probably be like that.

Interesting. I’m just sick of all censorship everywhere after it’s been relentless nonstop at least for 6 years. I find it exceptionally frustrating when things from the past are brought back and censored

I'm fine with the stupid "trigger warning" thing (I ignore it just like every other warning at the start of a movie/game), but am totally opposed to censoring or not releasing old games because "modern audience."
