Damn it Vol. E-mail chicken and get unbanned so we can discuss what to do about this griefing cocksucker! 
Minecarts are supposed to work now, but from what I've heard, they are unbreakable. Put a spot of lava at the end of your track so the cart falls in and breaks that way.

Supposed to be, yep. It'll only go on its own in the current chunk or something like that, but riding should work. You just can't break the carts without dumping them in lava or something like that currently.

So I was playing and having blocks respawn right after I break them. I know this is an issue with lag, but it must be server side lag. Something to look into?

I didn't know dungeons spawned in SMP.. considering monsters don't even spawn.
I loaded up on some mossy cobblestone and floored my brick tower with it

If you're in the /spawn area, it's protected to stop people from building jails around people just joining the server.
If it happened everywhere, well, it's a current glitch since the most recent update. My guess is he "fixed" carts/buckets/redstone by making the server update the progress more often. This causes the server to send the information saying "hey a block is here!" at the same time you're sending "hey I broke this block!" and the mixup screws up server side. Just keep hitting it, usually it only takes 1 or 2 more whacks to actually break it.
It's being worked on, as far as I know. Nothing to do with Vol's hosting.

yeah i have stumbled upon alot of dungeons... the game glitched me out one day and didnt save my green cobblestone so i lost it all because the dungeon didnt come back.

Vol needs to get his arse unbanned!
Anyway, I started on the Spawn-Shire Express...however 412 pieces of track was nowhere near enough. It will take me a long time to gather enough iron to complete the construction, but it does give me something to do whenever I have time.

The server admin said he is updating the server today to include Health, Mobs, and the other issues. Hope to see some of you guys back on and playing, it's been kind of lonely.
