Tell that to the new Whole Foods? Or whatever their name is?

It is a bottle neck. Hate driving around there tbh

can you imagine what it's going to look like once Whole Foods/Costco and a dozen other businesses open at Settlers Trace??

Unbelievable.... and then they're building this mini-mall kinda thing on Ambassador between the K & B and the new Our Ladies of Lourdes Hospital.

Haven't heard about that one...

Yep, supposed to be several retail and restaurant chains in there. Some kinda Bread(?) place?
Posted on 5/30/14 at 12:56 pm to Count Chocula
That stretch is going to be crazy hot in the next 10 years. (near Lourdes)

Think the bread name is Panera
Posted on 5/30/14 at 12:59 pm to Count Chocula
panera bread i think. that area by target/whole foods/burger place that i can't think of/academy is going to be traffic hell on earth soon.

Burger place is 5 guys. When I went to STM in the late eighties, there wasn't much out there

When I went to VC in the early 80's, there was NOTHING out there.

Yeah. I can see Lafayette to New Iberia being one big city one day

When we bought a house out here in the early 90's the McDonald's was there and the Albertson's was there. And Women's & Children's. Everything else was just "country."
On one hand, I love that we are close to lots of good shopping opportunities. OTOH, traffic is just a pain in the arse.
Costco (and Panera, I guess) is going to be in the shopping center between Walgreen's and the new Lourdes. I love/hate this idea. Having Costco here will bring in other good retailers, or so I hear.

I figured it was only a matter of time since they's bought a lot of ad space in tiger stadium
