The only reason to go to this is to sample the beer the home brewers bring. Other than that it is a day of standing in line for warm shots of beer that most stores in Baton Rouge carry (besides the few St. Arnold's will bring). IF they had brewers come from all over the US and you could sample beers that aren't available in BR, then it would be worth it.

I went last year and the beer was cold and the lines were minimal. Yeah I've probably had most of the beers before but it's still a good time.

I like both beer and supporting the rural life museum (portion of the proceeds go to operating costs). If if they only served Bud Light, I would be there.

I didn't go last year because of the reasons I mentioned. Maybe the suck factor of the year before thinned the herd. Maybe I'll check it out.

It was a freaking blast! I was surprised to see stone and rogue and Brooklyn there. But by far the best beers I had were from red stick brewers a HBA. Their double shot breakfast chocolate stout was heavenly.

Indeed. No long lines, cool weather, nice pours.

Our crew had a very good time, and left very sufficiently drunk.

I went with my Gf and her dad. We all throughly enjoyed the beer fest and will be going back. The weather kept the lines short but it did not stop me.

They had some very tasty brews. I didn't get to sample all but i hit most of them.

By far the best beer their. I didn't realize until my second time around when i tried to get another sample of it that my cousin had brewed it. He also made a fabulous IPA. I told him next time he makes the breakfast stout i better get a phone call.
