You know when you go to a Vietnamese restaurant….

and they serve you that simple chicken broth soup
And that sauce on the side to put on your appetizer and entrees

Is there anyway to duplicate that at home?

The dipping sauce is pretty easy to duplicate if you get your hands on some Vietnamese fish sauce. Here's a basic replication I think:
Nuoc Cham Recipe
The broth is likely just their Pho broth, which is going to be a bit more complex and not something you would want to do just for that. Google any Pho recipe (Pho Ga would be chicken) and see.
