Yea I think so, and the only one I know of that is completely wireless is Meater as i said

Exactly.

So why is everyone suggesting wired probes?

Because OP kind of said this too:

quote:

Anyone have one that communicates by WiFi to an app or to another device that can monitor three or more items at once

Not sure there is a wireless meat probe that does both

There are 4 wires sticking out of that contraption

Edit: Meater seems to be coming out with a "block" that has 3-4

How do you think this whole Bluetooth Wi-Fi thing works? You connect the probes to the base, turn it on and it talks to your phone. If there is something that just plugs into the meat and you shut the lid and that talks to your phone I would like to see it.

Igrill works pretty well and the Bluetooth range is great, I close the lid mist times and don’t open it until I get to IT to pull.

Edit ok ... Meater .. looks like you need a repeater to get decent range. Did you get the repeater?

I don't care if there are wires, but wireless wi-fi and a wireless probe are two different things. I just want probes that work over wireless wifi or bluetooth. Sometimes you guys are too literal.

I got the original. I just leave my iPad there then check it every half hour. The new one would be better of course.

I love my Fireboard and recommend the brand often. It sounds like it checks all the boxes you’re looking for. Yoder smokers are starting to incorporate Fireboards with their new 640 models.

I’ve been looking into getting the FireBoard which I’ve seen recommended everywhere on a bunch of different boards.

I have the Igrill and it works very well. I think it has 4 different probes for various meats and grill temp.
I downloaded the app and can monitor the smoker and meat that way. It’ll spoil you.
