Staying at hotel close by this week. Anything good besides the normal TX chains.

Houston pho on 45 and greens road is pretty good, think it might be only open for lunch. Good family run spot, great people.

Slendor gentleman’s club looks like a winner but I’ve never been inside.

Go a bit further north and hit up El tiempo cantina in vintage park

That's chain central around these parts. Go to 11 Below Brewery 5-9 Thur or Friday for a food truck and beer.

Steamboat House on Gessner and BW8 is probably the best meal you can eat around the area.

hawaiian bbq express is top notch cheap hawaiian box food. marios tacos and burgers is right down the road and is a good cheap and quick option. these are more lunch places

Thanks for the suggestions. Pretty slim pickings, it looks like. Looks like north to El Tiempo. Fajitas still the go to here?

I'm a fan of the old school carnitas or the amante shirmp tacos or chalupas.

Fajitas are good of course...but for God sake don't be a white girl and get chicken fajitas.

Peli Peli at Vintage Park and Dario's Steakhouse on Cypress-Rosehill are both good spots not far from Willowbrook. I suggest an a la carte Veal Sweetbread Enchilada aside your entree at El Tiempo. Ask for their habanero hot sauce from the back.
