Sipping on a KBS while a stir these beans and listen to Johnny Cash greatest hits... Hell of a rainy thursday afternoon. Some Stagg may be in my future. Got too many open fancy bottles right now though...

If you have multiple Staggs chances are you will get multiple more at some point in your life. To not trade something you can get more of for something that is from all accounts a one time deal never to be released again doesn't seem like the smartest decision to me. Personally I think you would be stupid to make that trade if you had the cured oak (I'm of course looking at the financial side of it)
Just think about what that Cured Oak will be worth 5-10 years from now if this whole bourbon craze keeps up

I think my collection of "one time deals" is good enough. I've got 40 or 50 bottles of whiskey that are of that nature now...I dont have to have 1 more. Plus I really like stagg
But thanks for the advice

I buy to drink, not flip. The aftermarket value doesn't mean a whole lot to me.

Clearly there are less drinkers and more flippers in this thread than there used to be

So is everyone drinking GTS tonight? I'll join in. What time is this going down?

When I finish this beer. Hope I dont diminish the "value" of the bottle by opening it

I need more GTS. You can send it my way and I'll do the privileges of decreasing the value for you.

Never said I was a flipper, just would factor that in if I was making a trade (as I think most rational people would). Congrats on those 40-50 one time releases Baw...

I don't factor in perceived value.. I factor in if I like it, and I fricking love George T Stagg
