I bought a Total Wine-Barrel Select version, numbered bottle.
Is it worth that? more ? less?
especially at Total Wine, single barrel / store picks usually sell for more than the regular shelf version.

As far as the quality of that particular pick, who knows. I've had some awesome barrel picks from TW and some ordinary ones.

IMO that’s the worst offering from High West. The regular and barrel finishes have not been good, but everybody’s taste are different.

Dozer has been rocking some good ones on here lately. I am not much for rum although I like seeing the good stuff on here and have a couple of bottles I have yet to crack at the house.

I agree with another poster that the American Prairie is their least tasty choice but High West is one of my favorite “craft” distilleries. Depending on the pick, it may still drink very nicely.

American Prairie

Agreed. It's like chewing on a buncha raw corn.

I am going to drink the rest as a old fashioned.

It is aged in Manhattan barrels. Should taste like a cocktail neat.

Sneaking one in but having a few more beers afterwards. Got a little overzealous with the pocket knife. This is the New Orleans Bourbon Fest pick. Not too shabby

Rice has a new full proof pick? I picked up the one they did last year. And are those two different Elijah picks?

I got the HBS Elijah Craig and it can't come close to Martin wine cellar Elijah pick. That one was awesome.

Yeah, they got one barrel of 1792 FP and two EC SB barrels.

I’m with you on the HBS EC pick. I favor the Rice picks over that one.

I was there at 10am yesterday and they had a bunch of cases left. I’d think you should be okay.

All these pics of Weller have me super jealous. Haven’t been able to snag a bottle in quite some time. Anyone have any suggestions?
