If they shuck them for you when you buy that is of course a plus.

Only place I’ve bought before has been Whole Foods and I’m looking for other options as WF has been out the last couple of times I’ve gone.

Farmers has them in the shell, and they sell them frozen on the half shell. I’ve never tried the frozen, but a friend said they thawed them in the fridge and enjoyed them.

I haven’t bought them at Farmers in the shell in a couple years, but when I did they were often muddy as hell. Required a spray off with the hose, which warms them, then back in the fridge to chill.

The Whole Foods ones are a great deal, less than $1 each shucked on ice. Best to call a couple days ahead. They told me they get them in 2 days a week, like Wed. and Sat., so they are often low or out on Friday if you haven’t ordered ahead.
