Do you two walk boy scouts across the street too?
But, is it a busy highway?

Nope. I stockpile plastic bags to pick up dog shite.

I found the easiest way around the fingers be cut of in circulation while in St Louis. Hang the bags on your forearm. I can carry fifty to eighty pound loads very easily with my elbow bent upwards slightly.

No. I'd just feel weird bringing in my own bag.
Most places here don't have paper bags. I wish they did.
I use the self checkouts and all they ever have are plastic bags.
I save the bags at home though. Put one as a trashbag in the trashcan in the bathroom, cleaning out the refrigerator, leftovers that might rip through the trash bag in the main trash can.
They do go to use but I'd prefer paper ones.

I do both paper and plastic. Recycle the paper ones, use my plastic for my lunches at work

First, the planet doesn't need saving and if it did I certainly can't do anything to save it.
Secondly, yes, I have a reusable bag, and ask for paper when I don't have it with me, or prefer to carry onesies and twosies items out with my hands that have thumbs attached to them, but not to save a planet, but rather because it makes more sense to me and because I get overloaded with plastic bags I can't do anything with, which is a waste to me, and does needlessly fill up landfills and doesn't decompose, so it's usually reusable when I think to bring it with me, paper, or when forced to use plastic, I end up rebagging because these kids today are clueless in how to bag properly, and then I place the plastic bags that were left over in the cart.
It's a pet peeve of mine when cashiers want to put everything in a bag without even asking me first. Toothpaste? Gets a bag. Laundry detergent with handle? Gets a bag. Paper towels in bulk? Hold on sir, we have a really really big bag for that. Same for boxes with handles. Absurd obsession with plastic bags.
