Late dinner. making burgers on the stove as we speak .. frozen French fries (the waffle variety) in the oven. Drinking a gin and tonic. Catching up on the WSJ I couldn't get to this morning.

Ha. I'm good on eating healthy just to live an extra 10 years and be a decrepit old man who never enjoyed life sitting around a nursing home thinking about all the great food, beer, wine, drugs and women I could have had.

I'd skip those shitty fries...the rest is good. R2R...double fry some real potatoes for the love of God. Those waffle fries give me the squirts just looking at 'em.

I didn't do the shopping .. just the cooking. gf wanted burger and fries and wanted it tout de suite. they weren't bad at all actually.

Blaming the girl friend for poor taste is a double edged sword....
Tell her you'll cook her some fries. Keep duck fat in the freezer and grape seed oil in the pantry.

Duck w/ gravy
Breasts and hearts were browned and then cooked all day in the crockpot before being served over rice. Crockpot had onion, celery, garlic, red wine, and a little roux for thickening.

Shoot for the stars friend. Leave the waffle fries in the dust of your distant past.

I shall try. Can I use one of these?

If you must. But those fries are too fat. You knew that, though, didn't you?
