R2R that needs to be run under the broiler. Looks very good as the picture, but could be much better. I applaud the effort though.

thanks BossMan, glass.

glass, I put the sandwich under the broiler for about 5 minutes then removed it and finished it with the bechamel that was simmering on the stove. you think I should stick it in the oven with the sauce already on there? thanks for the input. always looking to improve.

Yes. With a slight dusting of finely grated gruyere. You need to try the one at Patois for Sunday brunch. It is great and so big there is no way a normal human could eat it all.

It's what I got at Patois and I only ate like 1/4
Of course, I had drinks and the salad before it.

I haven't had one in a long time. I had one a few months ago at Luke and a few months before that here in BR.. but neither had that amazing crab meat on it like at Patois.

Their's is on my list. Loved the pork belly/fried green tomato sandwich the one time I went to Patois.

Major craving. Peristyle(RIP)was where I first had a crab and roasted beet salad. To this day it was the best bite of food I have ever had in NOLA. And I will contend it was perhaps the best restaurant ever in this town. Anne Kearney please come back.

LOLWUT????? Good night Alley.

ETA: I have no idea how much food is in a footlong because i have never eaten at Sudway. The sandwich in question at Patois is atleast three times in terms of caloric intake and weight.
