Good God man, all of this for a $3.95 hamburger? Slow day in the mecca?

He has a point though. Any sauce should go on the top bun and act as an adhesive.

It might cost 3.95 but there is no telling how much money they spent on designing and marketing and testing this burger. A very conservative estimate would probably be somewhere in the low hundred thousands before bringing this to market.

I'd be willing to bet it was not prepared as the Wendy's corporate people designed it to be. Details like that are critical to a good burger or sandwich. You can't just start throwing ingredients on all willy nilly with no plan.

interesting to see pretzel buns making their way into fast food.

Do gourmet burger joints in other cities proliferate the preztel bun quite like Chicago?

It's pretty much a given here that you can find a pretzel bun option.

Just had the Sonic pretzel dog today

No salt on the pretzel, dry bun and a not great looking hot dog. Sonic always gets me once with their gimmicks
