I tried the GP fries last weekend and it was some of the nastiest shite I've ever eaten. It was soggy french fries covered in a spicy cheeze whiz.

$6.99 for a big bowl of wonton soup at Kim Ahn's. You're in and out in 30 minutes.

No tax or tip? And what about a beverage? And I have to drive all the way to Harahan. Not very convenient from downtown.
ETA: And yes I'm aware the prices are close to the threshold so I should just not be a cheapass and get the more expensive but better food. I routinely do just that. But that has no bearing on the question I asked.

You ever purchase anything in Jefferson parish? Think you could estimate the tax and tip on $6.99?
I drink water, it's free.

Sorry, I didn't realize this was the help LNCHBOX save money for lunch. You said $8 was cheaper then a good meal. I presented you with a better lunch for the same price as Wendy's.

You can walk into just about any deli or meat shop and get a good plate lunch for under $8.

Link to where I comment on eating those terrible looking fires?
I haven't had Wendy's in years. But great try on shifting to an argument about me.

Name some.
ETA: And let's not forget that $8 is the high end. A more reasonable fast food combo price is $6.50 after tax (CFA #1 combo for example). You're not getting high quality meals cheaper than fast food.

I never said you did. I was linking you with the chain restaurant argument, your bread and butter.

Unless you're ordering one of the most expensive combos, this just isn't true. Even then, most combos are still under $8 after tax. So what kind of good meal can I get for under $8 including a tax and any tip?
I didn't shift any argument. You posted this, and I answered your query.
Maybe a thank you next time.

Just off the top of my head in the BR area.
Ronnies, Benoits, LeBlancs, Bergerons all for $6-$8 a plate. Might not be health food but it's 1000 times healthier than anything you will eat from a FF joint and it's actual real food. You can walk into just about any Mexican joint in the country and get a lunch special for less than $8.
Hell I can walk into any sushi place and get a couple tuna or California rolls for $8.

I eat at national chains probably about as much as you do.

With an invalid answer since you didn't include tax, a beverage, and apparently you don't tip.

For what exactly?

Again, you're not factoring in tax, beverages, etc. And

So even if it's all doused in butter and has 2000 kcals it's still better than eating a chicken sandwich and fries? Gonna call BS there.

I hate to even respond because it's like arguing with joeleblanc. You eat one chicken sand and fries for a meal? If so, you win. I can't help you. For the sake of argument, order a chicken sandwich at a restaurant and you get a bigger portion and better quality breast than any FF joint including CFA. You probably save 2 bucks max. Not worth it to me.

Name some.
I go to Publix several times a week and get a 12" sub, ham, turkey, roast beef, etc. with or without cheese and all the trimmings for $5.59.
I consider that better than fast food which has become high priced for the normal items. Value items are the way to go for me.
Panera is also a good option. In and out for around $9 for a much better meal.
