straight up a 1.5 oz pour or a 2 oz pour?
straight up is whatever the pour is typically for that drink

ETA: just shaken and strained into a coctail glass

There is a place by my house that charges for ice. It's called a sno ball stand.

I could go on for quite a while about mixed drinks that can be served numerous ways

You could make any drink anyway you like. That doesn't mean it is traditionally served that way.

Or do I need to start ordering my beers straight up to avoid having ice cubes in them?

wouldn't say there are "many," but off the top of my head:

old fashioned
gimlet
manhattan
salty dog

None of which I would ever order at Walk Ons.

Truth.

I doubt there is any bartender there that even knows what's in an old fashion.

Yea, I'm the difficult one for saying that mixed drinks usually come with ice and don't need to be ordered "on the rocks."

Any Manhattan, negroni, old fashion variation is served with no ice. That's hundreds of cocktails right there.

Its just how you go about doing it. You'll take one little random comment and take it word for word and fight to the death like a kid

Yes. It wasn't necessary to the conversation and the statement wasn't technically wrong. I said "99% of mixed drinks at Walkons are probably served on the rocks/martini".

And...I stand by that.
