There is a place by my house that charges for ice. It's called a sno ball stand.

You could make any drink anyway you like. That doesn't mean it is traditionally served that way.
Or do I need to start ordering my beers straight up to avoid having ice cubes in them?

No I get a just ice sometimes and it's not free.

wouldn't say there are "many," but off the top of my head:
old fashioned
gimlet
manhattan
salty dog
None of which I would ever order at Walk Ons.

Truth.
I doubt there is any bartender there that even knows what's in an old fashion.

You make a lot of effort to be difficult on here

Yea, I'm the difficult one for saying that mixed drinks usually come with ice and don't need to be ordered "on the rocks."

Any Manhattan, negroni, old fashion variation is served with no ice. That's hundreds of cocktails right there.

Its just how you go about doing it. You'll take one little random comment and take it word for word and fight to the death like a kid

Not so much difficult as you are wrong

Did he not do the same thing when several people disagreed with him?

You started with hams comment on cheese fries. Your response was typical lnchbox

quote:Yes. It wasn't necessary to the conversation and the statement wasn't technically wrong. I said "99% of mixed drinks at Walkons are probably served on the rocks/martini".

And...I stand by that.
