Wagyu questions

Going to a steakhouse that is known for their Wagyu cuts. My question for the board is A-5 Japanese that much better than other Wagyu? Australian cuts are larger and half the price. Is the size reduction a good trade off. I don’t eat Wagyu very often and I want to have the best experience.

There is definitely differences in the grades of wagyu beef. I’d definitely recommend the highest grade you felt comfortable paying for.

Pay for the best just so you can experience it at least once

Yeah I’m probably going A-5, but the cut is a 6 oz max. Will need apps as well
