Is it a commercial appliance? Different installation protocol.

Ok. Good to know. Will I need special connections, etc?

Can I actually put this at my house?

Can you? Well if it is commercial not technically. Commercial installations are inspected upon completion to ensure clearances are maintained, residential ranges generally allow cabinets to be up against them. The ranges themselves are protected to a different level, commercial appliances don't go through the same testing.

Good 6 eye.
It's definitely a high volume stove and would recommend one or two for any new restaurant.

They usually need a special gas connection.

Is it the 6 eye model or 4 eye with flat top?

6 eye.

I have a huge propane tank just for it. Nothing else in the house is gas.
Also, there was a Wolf stove there when we bought the house. However, we got the only Wolf model that was a lemon. Multiple people have had similar issues as us.i have spent more on repair than what it is worth.

Can you recommend an awesome residential model???

BlueStar....high BTUs for residential installation. No electronics to fail, oven wide enough for a full sheet pan, infrared broiler. Cast iron top with unsealed burners like a commercial stove. LINK

Ok. I will check those out. Also, I assume I would have problems if I had a fire with a commercial stove present? I would love one, but it is seeming to be less ideal by the minute.

Thanks to all for the input.

The problem w commercial stoves is the lack of heat shielding....most are designed to be freestanding, not boxed in by cabinets. Go to a high end kitchen showroom and put your hands on the brands you are considering....there is no substitute for seeing. Some ppl like the Capital culinarian (silly grates, pots sit too far from the flames), others are happy w NXR or Dacor. If you can find a showroom w live fire, bring a skillet and a couple eggs and make an omelet.

I have a Viking 48", 6 burner, with a cast iron griddle. Have had it for almost 9yrs, no issues. Been very pleased with it. Also have their fridge, oven, d/w, etc.
