Anyone use an electric roaster as a slow cooker? I want to make a large brisket for Easter in my crock pot, but mine isn't big enough. I'm thinking of getting a 22qt roaster and using that instead. It looks like 200 degrees is equal to "low" on a slow cooker.

Get a Nesco. It can be used as a food warmer or cooker and can be used with water under a large tray insert or strictly as a cooker without the water or tray insert.

Mine is a 3 gallon size and they now make them in 4 gallon size.

I am going to get one eventually, but I won't be able to in time for the Easter meal. I'm going to do the brisket in the oven in a roasting pan at 200 instead
