Did you know that originally the popularity of the Outback grew from the silverware, especially the chunky knife? During that time period (early 90s) the utensils at most restaurants were flimsy, or were plastic, or converting to plastic utensils. Seems the patrons loved the heavy feel of the utensils when cutting into steak --- go figure
The big steak knife was all the rage.
