If their only qualification for "best in the world" is walking distance, then not having Asheville on this list is criminal

Asheville has a lot of hills, easier to use uber or lyft to get around:

Appears none of you baws read the article.

"In 2019, as in past years, VinePair challenged ourselves to look beyond the usual suspects and seek out beer cities beyond the proverbial beaten path. Adding to their appeal are a series of new nonstop flights, just-opened restaurants, and once-in-a-lifetime cultural attractions."

That is such a bad list

The reasoning for the cities doesn't even make sense. In Atlanta for example they mention Creature Comforts... which is in Athens

Even by clickbait standards this is a bid list

Ok, New Orleans is a fun travel destination and it is fairly easy to get in and out of from/to other large cities...and yes, we have beer...but I don't think that makes us a top 3 beer destination, even given the "look beyond".
Also, no mention of Urban South or Second Line (among many others) ??

So then it's not a list of the Top 10 beer destinations in 2019? Because from that description, it sounds like its the "Top 10 Underrated Places to Travel if You're Looking For New Restaurants, Easy Flights, and Cultural Attractions and That Also Have Beer."

Though I suppose that's not as catchy.

I don't know Just an article, and they certainly aren't claiming these are the BEST breweries in the world.

WC, Austin is a cool place.

Not faulting you, t00f. Just a really odd criteria for the list and the title doesn't seem to match it at all.

Not the best article for beer nerds (I know, I am one).

Actually saw this article on the local news last night and why I posted it.

I think the list is of beer destinations most people aren't aware of. These cities, along with San Diego, San Francisco, Asheville, etc, are already well known beer destinations, so they weren't included on the list.
