Another one of those cursed locations. Nothing can survive there long term.

RIP Patio TV dinners. These were great growing up in the 70s/80s. Of course now there’s a Mexican restaurant on every corner now. Didn’t have that option back then.

Chalet Brandt was fantastic. I ate there once a week/every other week with my grandmother when I was growing up. She was the one that got me interested in food and it was one of her staples here in town.

We would also hit Brandt’s Maisonette once they made the change, but they moved to government plusI was older by then so hanging with grandma wasn’t as cool and I didn’t go with her as much.

The original building on Old Hammond fell into disrepair and had to be torn down. I think it’s been 3 things since it was torn down in 2011. Another Broken Egg, Velvet Cactus, and now Patio

Mandina's opened there after Katrina.

We ate there once and their version of the Italian salad was a bowl of olives with a cup of olive oil.

No surprise they didn't last too long.
