We always go around the table saying what we are thankful for. I also always say a prayer for soldiers around the world who can't be with their families.

The blessing suffices in our family. The blessing also typically is quite long-winded (some people need to realize it is a blessing, not a prayer). Straight to the food after that.

We do this. We didn't do it growing up but as we became adults and had extended family we started. I think it is a nice moment and some in the family are very good at it.

And let's face it, if we have the ability and means to spend time in our lives typing on this site we certainly have a lot to be thankful for. We lost a lot of people in our family this year and I'm very thankful I had them in my life for many years. I'm thankful that I was lucky enough to be born in this country and that no matter what we think about circumstances around it, political, social etc...it still is and forever will be the greatest country in this world and no one, not one man can change that.

Well that's just a little of what I'm thankful for. There is much more.
