I tried Pinkerton's in Houston for the first time today and I share that sentiment. TM rated Pinkertons and Pit Room both as a 4.25, but in my opinion Pit Room is noticeably better.

Pinkertons was good. The brisket was moist and tender, but not as smoky as I was expecting, nor were the ribs. I know there's better cue in Houston that didn't make the top 50 and Jackson St is one of them.

I think it's pretty tough to beat the ribs and brisket at Pit Room. Once you're up at that level, it's splitting hairs and depends on each individual palate.
